Really lovely hotel, nice fresh decor and very clean. Beds are firm but comfortable. Nice quality bedding. Facilities are good and well thought out. Rooms are spacious and practical (lovely bay windows too!). Shower was amazing. Breakfast was not the cheapest, but you get a lot for you money. The shining star of Applewood is the customer service, which we found to be warm, welcoming, professional and helpful. The only minor bug-bear was the heating; freezing at night, absolutely roasting during the day. However, it is personal choice and you cant keep everyone happy, it definitely wouldn't stop us returning or recommending it!

The hotel is absolutely stunning. The photos don't do it justice! Definitely more of a 4 or 5 star feel. It was so clean, warm and welcoming. The beds were really comfortable and the breakfast lovely. We stayed here as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children. The hotel manager was very friendly and accommodating. It is located perfectly, a stones throw from the beach and lots of restaurants and bars. Plenty of parking at the hotel. We will definitely stay here again when we come to Bournemouth!

Great location. Single room upgraded to a very comfortable double. Large medium firm bed with clean linen provided a good nights sleep. Ambient temperature controllable and duvet light but warm. Usual tea/coffee facilities and plenty of electrical sockets. Spacious ensuite, powerful shower and plenty of hot water but no heating in bathroom. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking on hotel grounds and convenient location for both Bournemouth and Poole. Very good value two night deal.

Excellent stay, staff very friendly and rooms are perfect and super clean. Hotel provides instructions if arriving past 9pm when the check in desk closes. The bathrooms are seperate from each rooms but theyre private (just for you) and not far from the room so you get used to it.

A clean and quiet place which made for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was excellent (we had the light breakfast) and the eggs were very good. No evening meal but you could bring in food from outside and eat in the lounge (can recommend Miso Rice Bar nearby). Only a short walk from the hotel down to the beach, via the west zig zag, only about 10 minutes and the closest stretch of beach was slightly less busy than the area by the pier.

Hotel was very clean. Staff member on arrival was very polite. Room was small and clean but suitable for just getting my head down for the night. Bed was comfortable and pillows were decent too. Close to the beach but also restaurants, bars and shops. Good CCTV coverage and felt like a safe area. Parking right outside too. Bathroom was sepeeate to the bedroom but it was key entry for my room only which was good. I didn't use the kettle but it was good to have the ability to have a hot drink should I have wanted one.

Very nice hotel, impeccable and comfortable, great staff always eager to help out. Located fairly close to city center, 10-15 minute walk to the Bournemouth Pier. Highly recommended, and even more for families

Hotel was spotless and deco was really nice..host was very friendly and all staff. couldnt do enough for you i had the continental breakfast which was nice cearal/toast and scrambled egg tea or coffee and juice that was 7.50 my partner have the full English with toast tea and juice at 12.50 mine was really nice and my partner said his was spot on to.. would be nice to visit in the summer months as they have a lovely garden and furniture for outside relaxing. Also free parking and could park there fire check in will be back 👌
